Tommy McFadden, sadly passed away on June 2nd 2022. He will be greatly missed by all at Brunswick Table Tennis Club where Tommy had been a member for many years. Table Tennis was a large part of Tommy’s life. He started playing at a young age and played regularly until shortly before his death. Tommy competed for the club in the West of Scotland Table Tennis League until January 2022. The photo above is from one of his last games for the club against Glasgow South. The list of Tommy’s achievements whilst at Brunswick included West of Scotland player of the year and helping the A team gain promotion to division 1. Tommy also played regularly in other table tennis circles including veterans competitions. As a qualified table tennis coach he played almost daily, helping to run over 50’s and a Parkinson’s session around the city. He was a regular at the Brunswick Club practice venue at the Leisuredrome where he was ever willing to coach and practice with all members of the club. His contribution to table tennis, not only at Brunswick but throughout the West of Scotland will be sorely missed.
